The Beat

my heart is beating, I feel it, it wants to say more. who am I... who am I to speak.. of such things of the heart. Does mine.. does it know something another's does not.. I do not know.. how can I know but choose.. make a choice to reveal.. The heart speaks of strength of possibility of love of freedom. the mind.. it interrupts it speaks words against.. you cannot, you are not enough. Someone special, someone you unique.. excuse me you are not different.. what do you have to show.. that's right.. nothing... darkness.. what is this darkness.. where is it coming from.. why does it overwhelm, block out, numb, destroy!! My heart.. it is speaking.. it is saying.. be strong.. break through, you can you can you can. A light.. a little light.. its shines.. it shines.. I can see a little light in the darkness.. feed the light.. feed it.. with air, breathe.. breathe.. deeper.. The mind.. it has.. moved.. the thought.. it is saying with the heart.. I can do this.. I can break through.. You are the only you, you are amazing.. you are spectacular.. WOW.. I see it.. sunshine.. it is warm, it is comforting.. it is a friend.. a smile.. yes do I see a smile. Walk.. tall.. strong.. embrace.. the warmth.. another.. yes I see another on my walk.. I will smile at this other.. yes yes I created a smile.. on another.. perhaps.. just perhaps this will pass on for all eternity.. a change in the world I have made.. perhaps a bigger change that I will EVER know!! I did not climb a mountain, I did not sing a song, I definitely did not dance.. I shone.. I shone SO bright.. from my delighted heart.. happy to reveal all to the smile of another. Not a word spoken but a look not just in the eyes but through to the heart saying to another. I know you.. I know you have power within, I know you I love you and I understand. Yes the battle.. the battle within.. what do we feed.. do we know we have a choice.. yes it is choice and choice is freedom!! I chose to build, to save, to love.. I shall not.. will not feed the darkness.. is it true.. are fairy tales real.. does love.. the light of love conquer. Perhaps not the love of a couple shared but that of the heart of oneself knowing.. believing that you are.. pure, beautiful and spectacular.. good enough to know love, good enough to tread on this earth and feel the warmth of the sun, the drop of rain down a face or the soft dirt in the toes.. it is for you.. and me.. but your foot.. the shape of your foot, so different from mine.. but that is ok.. you are you and I am me. Love this love this love this.. love the difference and then come to understand the same.. the heart.. for our hearts all beat, a beat to be shared.. a beat to be loved, to beat on the earth as one.
