A Beautiful End

A Beautiful End

I've been down this road before
Like bare feet on glass pavements
It knows my blood and where
I stand, while all hands join together
To save this dead man crying
Let me die beautifully
No one sees but by now I know
I can't be saved, I'm chased by
A demon that wants my everything
I'm dubbed a slave to mortality
I won't lie
I cry some oceans
Emotions well up for those
Great souls who would
Save what's left of me
Stop being so kind
Let me die beautifully
In a graveyard
Resting on some oak tree
As I whisper
My last words
"You've already saved me"
