Beautiful Light

Beautiful Light
  • There she stood by my bed, not old like me young pretty like when first met, she smiled spoke softly of Angels who helped her walk again, freed her of pain
  • She smiled said she was sorry I'm now alone, then turned toward a beautiful light, ten years she was unable to walk I watched as she walked  toward the light and then to disappear from sight
  • Its then I awoke by her Hospital bed her hand still holding mine, I smiled she looked so peaceful lying there, but the smile soon fell from my face, as the grip of her hand slowly released my darling was departing from life, It's was then I realised I'd fallen asleep she had visited my dream to say goodbye
  • Wiping tears from my eyes I walked from the Hospital ward,  to make the call every one feared few words did I speak, It's over, she free of pain, my darling has said her final farewell.
