Poem -

Beauty in darkness

left foot up

breathing cease

left foot down

exhale relief

try again

feet connects with earth

forward my only option

Birthed in darkness

I move with familiarity

praying

“let my ears hear, what eyes cant see”

I stumble

I smile

I know I’ve arrived

by the caress of the breeze.

I sit in silence

basking in the sun’s kisses

and the melody of the tree leaves.

I smile at beauty

I’m home
