Because we are..everything

Because we are strong...because we have come so far, and will go even farther.. Because we are mothers and aunts and sisters and children..Because we have no other choice, because the past is not an option.. Because we have chosen to be brave, though we are terrified..because we know we can, even when our minds fill with doubt..
Because we carry scars, and ghosts, and pain.. Most of all..because we carry love..we carry hope..we carry faith..and, God, carries us..we will make it..we may be crawling through many of the battles, but we will make it..we will cry ourselves to sleep more nights than we won't..we will ache and worry..but we will love..we will have compassion..we will care, even when we don't want to..we will rise above..because, God, intends for us to..He has marked each path..He has stood back when we were so angry with Him that we turned our back..He stood back, arms open, waiting to catch us when we came stumbling back..because He stands us up and says: keep going my child..and we will, because we can..
