Behind her eyes and locked away was faces in places from another day
And when she smiled no one could see her heart lay broken in a memory
So she hid her secrets well when those yesterdays were a living hell..

Behind her eyes of darkest blue was a curiosity without a clue
And nobody knew coz they couldn’t see, she had deliberately thrown away that key
Gone for good was cupids dart that shot his arrow through her heart..

Behind her eyes and inside her mind are mysteries ravelled to unwind
Tangled and tormented, twisted entwined left for other lovers to find
Now her heart is as cold as snow from behind those eyes of Oh so long ago...
