Poem -

BEING GAY

He is a man that stares on a pavement floor
This is his story on the things that he saw
Cigarette butts a plenty thousands maybe more
Pizza boxes from a meal time the night before

There was dog mess by a lamppost light
Blood close by presumably from a fight
The odd loose change shining so bright
Bird droppings left from quite a height

Must be hard having your head down all day
Would cloud one's judgment I have to say
Missing out on everyday things is not okay
Surely there is nothing wrong in being gay
