Belated Selfie (1)

Insomnia and claustrophobia both
drive me out like dastard djinn
They drag my youth through a window
onto a balncony railing three floors too high
A Brian, a very naughty boy
spidermans it down the
awning, the walls and fences--
once pennyless-mother stops yawning,
starts snoring
Like a goul, his shadow silent-slinks
and smells the sweet freedom
of the nocternal ocean
swimming through all boudary markers
like an electric eel,
he steals clothes as if they
were mermaids
Dogs make for loud sharks;
bats for hovering sting rays,
while white frogmouths
hoot like dolphins--
too pure to discern a pirate
When sun rises
I lay in my room
drunk on my booty
New sign on door:
Private Proprty. KEEP OUT
Mother too has gained some silver
through loss of sleep and face,
her blood down at her feet
