‘Belle of a beauty’

‘Belle of a beauty’

Marcus maybe only ten years old and Megan is sweet sixteen
but he worships the ground she walks on and to him she is his queen
Mind you he hasn’t said this much so nobody should have a clue yet he will pluck up the courage one day
at least that’s what he intends to do
You see Miss Megan has the curves in all the right places and his ‘Belle of a beauty” oozes none of those airs and graces

Marcus realises today is not the right time to tell of his true love for her for that would be a crime
Miss Megan could be simply horrified and that would blow any chances of courtship in the future with his amorous advances
So as he watches her walking out of her garden gate he stems his emotions and tells them they have to wait
Yet he will hang around wherever she may be hoping to win her heart eventually

In a few years from now well Marcus will be sixteen but then again Miss Megan will have surpassed her teenage years if you know what I mean
So only time will tell if this young lad’s dream will come true and who know’s what the future holds in a year or two
Mind you if cupid should fire his arrow into another man’s heart then Marcus will drive a wedge between the two of them to tear them apart

A Lonely Journey

Good luck, Marcus!
Welcome to the horribly confusing, complex, aching, humbling, hurting, world of love! It really should come with an instruction manual, or at least a YouTube video, sigh.
Great write, Jillian! I like the way you wrote about the fears, and indecision, and trevails of love, and then left the ending uncertain, as it often is.
Made me think a lot.
Loved it!

Matthew.

A Lonely Journey

I once fell deeply for a
young, female yak, because her hair was so similar to mine, but was afraid to ask her out(and also, the zookeepers shot me with a tranquilizer dart when I climbed the detaining fence), but I think I'll always regret not seeing where that could have went. Her name was Philmeedahyde.
Thanks for the mammory's.

I'm crazy? I'm not the one writing about love affairs with yaks!...oh...wait, yes I am. You're right! Thank you! But you have a bit of the crazy within you, too...and I love it! Have a great night! M.
