Bends In The Road

The usual worry and stress is all I knew
Then I figured out what I had to do
I packed my bags and left my life behind
To search for more than the daily grind
Call it a quest for happiness if you may
But in the rat race I could no longer stay
I wanted to taste the freedom of the road
Going from town to town, with no fixed abode.
...........................................................
A diverse and beautiful planet I discovered
Realizing there was plenty to be uncovered
I made many friends as I went on my way
Waking with enthusiasm for each new day
The world we inhabit giving a new perspective
Showing me how those in other cultures live
It was a lifestyle to answer many questions I had
To be seeing what's around every bend I was glad.
