BENEATH

Hush now, for they will not tell
their secrets
They hide them far beneath,
beneath
In lushness bourne of deep and
deep
While all the world looks up and
up
To drink a fill of starlit cups
Collecting moons to swop for
suns
Whilst over leaves, they run and
run
And all the while, the wise ones
smile
And curl their roots in miles and
miles
Beneath, beneath, in deepest
deep
Where secrets of all breath...
They keep

Oh I love these lines. I love the whole poem and line after line is just brilliant...but these lines are my favourite x
Thankyou love...always appreciated XX
Oh Marion! My oh my! Brilliant, brilliant and bloody brilliant! Loved it.
The way you wrote this staggers me and if there is a word more descriptive than just beautiful it would be written here.
This I think is one of your best, among so many and pulled me in and hasn't let go.
It is spectacular writing and more than magical.
And to read for the first time leaves my heart aglow and every reread after that and thank you for that.
Loved the surreal mysticism you have sown and the word repeats that add to a beguiling distant haunting echo and seems to me like a soft whispering quality and essence flowing throughout.
Thank you for making my night and one of the best I've read on here since joining and this should be published and hopefully one day read by a bigger, appreciative captivated poetry audience.
I wish you well Marion in all that you write and do and respect to you as well.x.
Oh Shaun what a beautiful and generously kind comment my friend. You have made my day...many hugs Xx
Marion, just revisiting and still bowled over by it, for your writing is a thing of beauty.
Superb and breath-taking poem and calls out
And big Welsh hugs to you good Marion. Xx.
A poem deserves another read in what its writer can generously offer.
Thanks yet again Marion. For you raise poetries bar. x.
