BETHANY SHRIEVER OLYMPIC CHAMPION

My heart was captivated this morning by a BMX race
Bethany Shriever of Britain was aiming for first place
This was the Olympics and four years in the making
Little did I know it would be a Gold Medal she'd be taking

So many ups and downs for Beth to reach this day
Sacrifices and commitment both come into play
Not just for Beth but for her family and friends too
To win a Gold Medal it's something you have to do

The race itself I'm sure was something of a blur
Made my heart glow and was so very proud for her
I was caught up in the emotion wrapped up in the fever
One true great Olympic champion Bethany Shriever
