Beyond the Past

This is a memory, forgotten and shadowed
Of two images who forever battled.
One dark poetic and a mystery
Representing evil, metaphorically
The other honest, strange, and with a history
With a static image, unchanged, quite literally.
Both stuck in one body
Both trying to be more than nobody.
An image is hard to lose
Especially, when your personality is split in two.
An everlasting quest to fit in
Just trying to make some friends.
The static image teased, bullied, and thrown away.
"Go away. No one likes you." They say.
Pushed to a social edge and told to jump.
This is where losers get dumped.
Society stole his voice
They give only one choice.
The image fell into the abyss,
In reality, he'd never be missed.
Stuck in the darkness with the living dead,
Not zombies, but outcasts or rejects, or so the popular said.
This image forced to feed on total darkness
And this starts a synthesis.
Without a moment's hesitation from the new creation, the image starts his climb to salvation.
It takes all his energy to climb
And it takes more than time.
He has to she his old silly skin,
So he can join the likes of immortal men.
As he surfaces to join the others,
It it hard not to look back at his fallen brothers.
So, the new darker image throws them a rope,
So that the rejected have a little hope.
Still, he barely blends at all,
But he came back from an impossible fall.
And when that happens my friends,
The social food chain, it bends.
This is the story of how two images battles
And social norms were rattled.
This is how individuality lasts for eternity,
And how creativity + randomcity = immortality.
