Bird-brained

First, there are all these things to loose.
Then, I'll be over the hill.
When I was a boy given to me many things
were.
I'm preparing for a spiritual world.
Always talk of poets in bars, reading poems
Loud, obnoxiously.
Verses near magnificently profound.
Poet humour getting on the bus skips town.
Bird-brained, eagle-eyed
I'm high in Alps digesting a black backdrop.
From this there can be no coming back.
The point when I realise, even I could cry.
Is there Time on the other side?
Are there dangers like in this life?
A masked devil takes my hand in his.
I lean to mark the spot where I first noticed.

Dear Rory, such rawness in this poem, outstanding to say the least,
I'm high in Alps digesting a black backdrop.
From this there can be no coming back.
The point when I realise, even I could cry.
Kudos on these lines, you show your soul to the reader. Imagery is profoundly beautiful and dark. Kudos my friend. A stunning piece from you. 🌹
Happier with this than the last, leastways. Glad you feel the same. I'm redeeded.
Your work is wonderful but anytime you ever want help all you have to do is ask. 🌹
