Birds on a wire

Love to watch them gather,"Meet you at the telephone pole,if you,d rather!                           At the end of the day,the wires a great place to rest                                                            "I need a break, all day I,ve been on that nest !"                                                                   They chatter, chirp, chitter and coo                                                                                      but not much mingling of species, for that is taboo!                                                             They laugh, shriek, flap their wings-oh,what a sight                                                              Its like they all get together before packing it in for the night                                                They poke, preen, stretch their legs                                                                                  And then its time to get back to sitting on eggs                                                            They circle around and head home for the night                                                             "we'll see you tomorrow at twilight?"
