Birthday

The light is dancing upon my eyes, the gifts stay pristine, and as I look in the mirror to see myself smiling, my tears have faded. Ā
Nothing seems to hurt anymore. Ā
My ears block out my worries, and my eyes take in this warm light of the candles.
I feel so free that I think how glad I was to have lived another day. Ā

A poignant piece here. So many don’t get another Birthday. I always like it when someone manages to express a strong message in few words. A good writeĀ
