Poem -

Birthday!

Forty three solid years brimming with memories
not even worth reminiscing!

Thirty odd more annuals to come
possibly wasted in a vain effort for them to be worth mentioning
even in passing!

A hollow pair of ears is all I desire now
so I can sing it all off my chest,
so I can hear the echoes of my own loneliness bounce back!

As far back as I remember
there has been nothing but amnesia;
I have been stumbling along an inside-out tunnel paraplegic-like,
slipping down a staircase that shoots me upwards
suck-vomitting what has covered me all over!

And I am oblivious of what's become of me, you or anybody else!
