BITTER

It was the bitterness that curdled the milk
Rotted the cheese
Then scared away birds
From their dance on the breeze
It flowed to the river
And through the roots of the trees
Who would not stand tall
Or produce any leaves
It poisoned the wild things
The crops in the field
No sustainance got
For the land could not yield
And it is a sorry soul indeed who suffers such a life.

Marion,
I agree with Cheerie(as she's much smarter than I, and she reads poems much better than me), but that is just a terrific write. You are so talented, and original. Love your writing always! (And I think it has many correlations to my Chicken story, including the loin denunciations, and the sorry soul(The Farmer)). Great job!
Matthew.
Does it...lol...I wasn't able to comment on that one for some reason, apologies for that Mathew as I thoroughly enjoyed the read ?
No, yours is much better.
It's OK that you couldn't comment, you were probably so taken by the love story that your fingers refused to move due to being lost in it. It happens a lot when I combine chickens with loins. LOL.
Thanks Marion! I'm glad you have a sense of humor, you're great!
Matthew.
No I mean it wouldn't let me comment there was no facility...lol...don't put yourself down Mathew, you produce amazing work ??
It's an outrage!
Cosmo is trying to squeeze me out, I think!
The other day I got message when I tried to log on: 'We have moved, Matt, please go to PoetDorks.com, and post there. We look so forward to losing you...I mean, seeing you there!' Mgmt.
Did you receive that message? LOL.
Thanks Marion! You're awesome!
Matthew.
