Bitter Breeze

Bitter Breeze

I am divided

Torn

ripped

and split

Shredded by elements
I once controlled

The wind
which formerly
lifted my sails
and brought me here
has turned
into a relentless adversary

Now I fear
this faceless force
that will eventually
scatter my humanity
into the four corners
of oblivion

Too bad for me
the shelter
I need so desperately
is closed
for the season

Gotta hold on for dear life
til the storm passes by
