Black Holes

Black Holes

Once I glowed like a beautiful star.
brightly in the heavens.
My pure light filled the night sky.
Then i felt the pull of you
an attraction far too strong
for pretty stars to resist.
Inch by inch I
was pulled closer to you.
So close the power to move me
was all yours.
First you swallowed
all of my beautiful lights.
Then you slowly destroyed me.
Crushing all that was once me
until I no longer existed.
