how much I wished

I could see you when I heard

you sing a melodious song

of the ordeal of a blind!

how joyful I became

to learn blind are not alone!

how sharing you are, but me!

No one knew

how friendly you are, but me!

No one knew

how high you fly, but me!

No one knew

how deep the emotions are, but me!

No one knew

how precious you are, but me!

No one knew

how beautiful is black, but me

for I only see darkness everywhere!

Of  all the colours,

I like black the most.

Oh, no, do not get excited, mind,

you are but a kite

to be cut as you fly high.

Even if I cover myself

with a thick black blanket,

I’ll still see you, my eyes closed,

heart open, right in my front!
