BLACK WAVES

There came a black wave
Nobody saw it coming
When last observed, the sea
Wore Only
It's usual green blue colours

Only... it's everyday dress
Rippled and stippled by the
dances of life
Gave no cause for concern
No indication of strife, untill

A black wave dressed in
mourning suit
Reserved for Sundays or
Somedays
Or One days or Far Off days

or, Other Shores
where Other Toes
in Other Lives
Got Wet

Rose out of nowhere
In black mourning suit
Crushing all in its path, under
Black Funeral Boot, and now,
We Are All Dead.
