Black & White

Black & White

The wind is blowing and the air is crisp
I don`t know for sure
I just hear that it is
Cause I`ve not gone outside in the longest time
Cause if I do
Who knows what monsters I`ll find
I heard a story about a dad and his kid
Who stayed outside until the moonlight swam in
I wish this story had a storybook end
But I guess
In a sad way
It kind of did
My eyes are shinning from tears of grief
I don`t know for sure how this could happen to me
Cause I`ve been a good person
I`ve really tried
Cause you don`t deserve this
But neither do I
I heard a story about a wife who cried
Until a lake was formed and her eyes grew dry
This story is true
It has a storybook end
The woman who cried
Learned how to laugh again
I heard a story about a kid who learned
To look beyond himself and his personal hurt
This kid sees the world in a whole new light
He looked past his pain to see
Life`s not black and white
The wind is blowing and the air is crisp
I know for sure
Cause I can feel it
