BLACK + WHITE NUMBERS

Something it seems has gone wrong
with my head
A year has near passed
Since they said you were dead
Since they opened the ground up
And made you a bed
And I can still hear the thump of that earth

I can still smell the flowers and
Hear a choir sing
Hear the crackle of paper as the
calender rings
Up more minutes and seconds to
tick off the hours in black and white
numbers
And all this
Devours
Me
Still
