Blackbird

A Blackbird sings in the dead of night….

I hear her calling in my sweet dreams
And Hypnos guards the gentle quiet
Till dawn brings back the horrors of the mind
While in sweet dreams I softly sigh
And peace returns and silence softy sings

Blackbird.
You hear my voice is calling you to sing again

And when dawn opens her tired eyes
I’ll live the rest of life in a day
I’ll live life like I’d live it again and again
And get from it all I can

And when night returns and silence spreads her wings
Blackbird, please sing.
