Blank Thoughts

It's like suffocating and no one can see
It slowly swallows you as you beg not to drown
You stand on the edge of the cliff sliding your feet
They will all say it was for this or for that but it was really a release
A distraction until you could finally not be numb but not have to feel
Long sleeves like a shield hiding how bad it really is
Mom and dad ask are you ok
They don't want a real answer
It's crazy what a smile can the overwhelming build of pain, anger, and sadness
The feeling of emptiness in your stomach like your hollowed out by society
Dried tears making your face tight but they're no longer there to the naked eye
After night falls and everything is quiet that's when it gets bad
But even though I'm crying all I have are blank thoughts
