Poem -

blanket heart.

The rain on my roof
Couldn't wake me from my sleep,
Nor those hopeless doves,
Singing about love,
For my soul sleeps beneath
You're blanket heart
Layered by the warmth
Of your blood,
When we kiss we infuse
Body and soul,
Becoming something more
Than whole
Overflowing like that rain
Every drop
Easing all our pain,

I wish to sleep again.
