‘Blast and blitherations !!!’ 🤣
When I lie my head on my pillow at that time of the night
Why on earth does my head tell my brain to switch on a light ?
Wafting words around and around
Though I try to sleep, creativity is found
So ‘Blast and blitherations !!!’ I am doing it again
Thinking when I should be sleeping, Oh what a pain!!
Yet these verses that manifest and keep me awake
Are the best I’ve written for pity’s sake !!!

Jill how well you put it and so truthfully so, for you're not the only one.
It is so damned hard to flick that poetry switch to off and keep the bugger there, when the world and everyone and everything that has ever happened or going to happen and all that is living or ever lived comes pouring through an overtaxed poetry mind after 2 A.M in the morning and you WANT and struggle to clear your mind to get some much needed and welcoming sleep.
A real tsunami of overkill ideas and themes rushing around up there.
Anyway, moving on, rant over, sweet dreams for later on!!!😂
