Blessed Ambition
Taking a long hard look at this world we live in,
Everyone enjoys existence by caring and sharing !
To show compassion for others is always the key,
As good souls comprehend what brings harmony !

Prejudice and hatred foster a climate to despise.
Nobody tolerates an environment promoting lies !
Truth is most apparent if life is the best it can be.
There is reason in the blessed ambition of unity !

When we all work together in achieving a dream,
No one has to experience the savage and obscene !
In finding what is in the heart, impossible to teach,
A soul sees a future when nothing is beyond reach !

awesome sentiment, Richard so well written....I don't know if real 'unity' can ever be really achieved in this world, to be honest, but it is truly something worthwhile to strive for....beautiful work, my friend...cheers poet
Unity is achieved every day on a local or national level when various opinions on a course of action are considered and a common approach is formulated, either by following the most prevalent suggestion or by creating a policy which satisfies all aired requirements. This happens in governments or in business. Why shouldn't this be possible on a world level considering that globalization makes a uniform approach more likely, with every interest seeking a way forward which encourages a beneficial environment for all international component parts ?
Divides hinder mankinds progress.

This is beautiful....wonder how beautiful the world would be if we'd all be selfless, truthful, caring and sharing....It would be a paradise on earth....Lovely
It is satisfying to look at mankinds future in an optimistic light ! Man can put divisions and differences aside and find a rewarding common ground ! It is in everyones interest for the world to find peace, and hence prosperity !!

Hi Richard, It would be nice if we all could live in true unity...Everyone helping their fellow man, we just need to take away the human idea of selfishness and show compassion and kindness, maybe then we could have such a world. Such a positive uplifting poem...I really liked it xxx

It is best to view the future positively. If all find the caring sharing straight path, after the selfish greedy souls condemning others are dealt with, then a much better environment to live in will be created. You must first clear away weeds to see the garden grow.
Those without prejudice or hate are in the majority and the overwhelming swell of opinion should hold the day !! Most want to see a world where peace and love prevail.

Thank you so much for your kind remarks on my poetry and the motivation behind it. Why do we just have to hope for a better world ? Why can't we have one ? The benefits of a more peaceful existence with souls helping each other, whilst enjoying life to its fullest, are clear...why let evil deny us that better state of being ?
We have to suppress evil to achieve what good souls deserve.
