Blown Away

It took us by surprise
Blew us away late that night
The clouds took too long
To show us the light

We ran to the only place
That we could be safe
Even though
We could feel the ground shake

You said
For me to hold tight
To the storm shed
And not to come out
Just stay on that small bed
It'll be alright

But a few minutes past
So I checked on you
I didn't know

That the storm blew right threw
Our little town home
I asked, where are we suppose to go
Will We be alone?

You whipped yours tears away
And you looked in my eyes
Even though I cried
You wouldn't tell me lies

You said God has a plan for us
He have to remain strong
We have to show love
No matter what is gone

Even if it hurts
There will always be pain
But threw any tragedy
There's something to gain

We're alive
You're safe
As long as the mighty God
Holds us
We'll have a place

So don't give up faith

Our house may have blown away
But together we're our own home
And as long as we have the Lord
We'll never be alone

You got up right away
And looked into my eyes
I always knew
You'd never tell me lies
