Blue Light

Tired eyes and racing mind,
Find no solace here.
For among the darkness and dead of night,
simmers and hums a lone blue light.

And in its glow I've lost I fear,
The waning will to fight.
For my inner sanctum has given way
And lost to the lone blue light.

This horrid beacon of fake delight,

So finish I must these words I write,
before night slips away.

A new hour strikes,
but here I stay.
Just another minute
Just another day.

The lone blue light always gets its way...
