BLUR
You rested there,
Staring at the vast blue sea,
It seemed as if you were sitting on a throne,
Surrounded by void
Your dark ebony braids,
Trickling with droplets,
Like flowers in the dew
Fresh salty breath covering you
Society could never compete
With your sweet, blissful peace
You scar your surroundings with ultimate tranquility
They give their soul in exchange for meaning,
But little did they know,
You sat there freezing,
Frozen in time,
Like what you once were -
An escape,
A home,
Nothing but a blur.

I like the soft feel of the poem. It was like taking a walk on the sandy beech.
Favorite lines
I think the ending is my favorite part of all. It was like a person revisiting a place of serenity, part of themselves becomes embedded in the sound of the ocean, the smell of the green algae, and the moist ocean air. You did a nice job creating images.
