The "Bod" at Oxford....

In the Atrium of the Bodleian Library at Oxford
I spied a woman, bathing in a sensual light
A white, porcelain, sculpture
Laying on her side
Reminding me of Botticelli
A portrait come to life
And as my imagination
Began to take me away
I swear, I heard her whisper
But not revealing anything
My mind danced with the potential
Of an intimate encounter someday
I could see myself bathing her
In bubbles and lilac scent
AndĀ bathing inĀ her natural features
I felt the yearning of other men
Who found themselves quite mesmerized
And drawn to her radiance
I became overly protective of her
To the point of childlike jealousy
For never had I felt the coolness
Of marbled features on my skin
And the way light just held her there
I was living in a fashion, or still dreaming
And loving each and every moment.....
In the atrium of the "Bod" at Oxford
I met a woman draped in light
But then this was no ordinary woman
Just a dream I'd brought to life......
