Futile Dreams

What does dreaming achieve?

Does it surpass all you have hoped and desired

Like an expierience long yearned for 

Or does it disappoint with eradicated satisfaction 

And cause anxious, lustful desires rooted in selfishness 

Does it inspire happiness and joyous emotion 

Or does it spawn vexed feelings of abomination towards reality 

Like an unachived objective that is only now in imagination 

Maybe it even torments the very fabric of your inclinations

Or maybe... It's was meant to just stay a dream.
