Break Free

Break Free

I built the walls from broken parts
Brick by brick
Til my hands were withered and bruised
I built the walls
To not only keep you out
But to keep me in
The walls I built
They took me and erased me
My familiar faces cling to the walls
I can see how unhappy I am
In this prison of my own mind
I am sitting here in an empty dark room
And that is when it hit me
I am choosing to suffer
I need to break free
The walls I built begin to shake
I whisper, break free
The walls I built are rumbling
I stand up and speak, break free
The walls I built are beginning to crumble
And I am not staying to watch them fall
I am, I am breaking free
