Breathe in & breathe out

Fly like a daffodil, swirling in a pile of oats,
sneezing as I quiver, while in my iron boat.
The waves be tossing to and fro,
they always say 'hi' when I'm feeling low.
Pause - breathe in, pause - breathe out.
Life has no meaning when the soul is empty,
I wish love was food, as there would be plenty,
I wish understanding was water, so I'd never be thirsty,
and that knowledge was light, so truth would amaze me.
Pause - breathe in, pause - breathe out.
Turmoil after turmoil,
A mountain and a mole hill both come from the same soil.
They say the sun sets, but no the earth spins.
If life's a simulation, then life is Sims.
Pause - breathe in, pause - breathe out.

Your poem demonstrates good rhyming and rhythm, with some inventive slant, or near rhyme, tossed in for good measure, Silhouette IV.
"Life has no meaning when the soul is empty,
I wish love was food, as there would be plenty" ... As far as these two lines go, food being plentiful really depends on what part of the world you live in, yes?
Well penned, friendo.
