Brexit?

I just do not get this ‘Brexit’ word
Everyone voted, but their decision wasn’t heard
What kind of message does this give to our young
Our government are treating it as ‘a slip of the tongue’

This is a ridiculous state of affairs
Democracy has spoken but nobody cares
What was the point of a vote at all
No matter what the outcome
It was gonna be there call

I thought I had seen everything
Nothing would ever surprise
But this carry on takes the biscuit
Our world rulers are full of lies

I learned as a child when I was at school
Yes meant yes & no was no
But this ‘brexit’ lark is treating us like a fool
It is simply like a pantomime show

Regardless what one wanted
The peoples vote should go ahead
How can this not be granted
& Change  to the opposite instead

Britain used to be a country that boasted great
We all stood together in unity
Alas nowadays it is in a state
Government doesn’t give a damn 
& Causing mutiny
