Brexit’s Exit

Brexit’s Exit

Brexit has finally arrived
and I can’t say that I am sorry
Nor am I filled with anxiety or any
unnecessary worry
You see I recall those bygone days when I was only small
The European Union ruined my families livelihood so they had to quit it all
My Father and many generations before him were successful seafaring fishermen
When I was just a lass fishing ports along the coast was thriving but that was then

The EU brought legislations out that put and end to our fishermen
And I grew up and witnessed the day boats never ever fished again
So I have strong reasons why I wanted Brexit and now this day has finally come
My only sadness is my Father and all his brothers and cousins are not here to see this, sadly they are all gone

My Dear Jill,

Awww, such a sad commentary.  Your Father, and his generations before him, toiled hard to provide for their families.  Then came the EU, and destroyed their past, present, and future.

All my love,
Larry xxx
