" The Bricks Of American Mason's "

When the red bricks lock-in and protect
Your solitude
It seems so simple to find a crack
A flaw, in the Mason's symbolism
Sculpted all over
Washington D.C. and the congressional
Halls of Fame and reckless
Wielding of power
Do not these red bricks, having been fired
Hold truth in the hard work
And the sweat of good
And insightful ideals
Of like minded men
With Masonic symbolism
And historical fore-thought
Hold our western ideology
To the very bosom
Of the brick laid fireplace
Where the warmth
Of God's Love
Reveals
A brick by brick hewn
Soul
Honestly
Striving
To understand.......

Hey T, cool poem man, it's about "Masons?" never seen a poem about Masons before...reads well too, there is a lodge close to the union shop I belonged to, passed it everyday for years and never went in, a number of plumbers belonged to it though, one Journeyman used to draw symbols everywhere he worked; on ladders, walls, ceilings...he never talked much about being a Mason but he made it known he was, apparently a lot of memorization is involved, fascinating subject matter for a poem though...I enjoyed reading this one...what do they say? variety is the spice of life...stay well my friend
