Bridge.............................................................dedicated to Blade

Bridge.............................................................dedicated to Blade

The story is of a great Gospel plan,
The bridge of salvation; the valley did span.
Mists of darkness shadowing the wall,
Of a valley created from Adam's fall.

Bridge is held up by the chief corner stone,
The Savior of all; for man did Atone!
The keystone of religion is part of the crown,
Book of Mormon and Bible; so men won't let down.

With the mountains of the Lord; trestle complete,
The foundation of the world; the story repeats.
Laid cross the trestle; the iron rod,
The plan of happiness; the Word of God.,

Then rolling forth; the train called the church,
Down the straight and narrow path did it lurch.
It cannot be stopped as it barrels across;
The great gulf of misery; and left over dross.

Its conductor the prophet and seer ahead,
Shines light down the path for the saints to tread!
The power comes down from Father above,
Getting on track when we learn to love!

So, all aboard; let us not hesitate!
It's unlikely the Lord's Gospel is late!
Now we arrive; our final destination,
Eternal Life; through His restoration.

Jim "The Lad" ....

The Book of Mormon is another Testament of Jesus Christ and references the Bible perfectly so men can no longer twist its meaning with their philosophies.

Hey JIM!!....I left a comment for you but it got lost somewhere out in cyberspace.....hate it when that happens.....anyway, this is Beautifully written....and has some great metaphors running throughout the whole of it.....a fine delivery of thoughts and truisms from Biblical texts that convey some of the real beauty that those  books contain....making it much easier to comprehend.....a noble endeavor my friend......ALL STARS!!.....LOVE & ROCKETS!!.......T xo   : )

Jim another poetry delight and what a journey.
And as one door closes so opens another, which all are destined to pass through.
Your poem flows so smoothly with goodness shining brightly in every stanza and your last is a joy to behold.
Thank you Jim for sharing and I wish you well my poetry brother.
