Poem -

Broken

A boy with his jaw on the floor.

A girl with a heart he's never seen before.

The girl helped him to love himself.

The boy put her love on the shelf.

He started the fire in her heart.

The fire burned bright til it went dark.

His communication short and broken.

Her pain from his words left unspoken.

She never wanted it to be this way.

Now he pleads and begs her to stay.

She screams too little too late .

You're just a boy who sealed his own fate.

I took her love for granted the boy exclaimed.

Crying out loud feeling ashamed.

A boy with his jaw on the floor.

Busted and broken from her closing the door.

Now outside the door he feels her pain.

Praying for the day their paths meet again.
