Broken chandelier

Lost and found in the dark

Broken chandelier

One day as I lay in my bed
lights flickering, and I said:
" I think I need to remove that bulb from the socket "
But, my fingers idly pressed it.

The following day I gave a twist
I turned on and off the switch
My hands wandered malleability
Tackling to the best of my ability.

So, it lit the oppressive gloomy night
God said: " let there be light," and there was light
It soothed my tales of woe
When I got lost, nowhere else to go.

And evoked the Cockcrow early light
Discovering reality and fanciful night.
I have sought that one broken
bulb differently
But never lost my dignity.

Thank you Tony.. I was inspired by the message of a Filipino priest at the Cenakel convent in Utrecht about being lost and found.... I've been trying to change one of the bulbs of my chandelier for days now, .... i tried it yesterday, and BANG , it worked... So, I used it as a metaphor ..sometimes one needs to be lost to be found...not until we are lost in one of our journeys in life do we begin to understand ourselves.
I hope you're ok.

My Dear Leah,

"And the Lord said, let there be light"
Since the beginning of time, it has shone
All of God's loyal children
Will never be alone

All my love,
Larry xxx
