Bronze Age

Bronze Age

Bronze Age.
They,
were once
here.
Where
we are
now.
Saw the
same moon.
Saw the
same stars.
How much
have we
changed?
How little
have we
changed?
Four thousand
years ago.
She lived
four thousand
years ago.
Basic
human needs.
The same.
The lady
had style.
She wanted
to be pretty.
She wanted
to be
loved.
Difficult
life.
Survival.
Arduous
existence.
Survive.
Lived to
thirty if
lucky.
Blink
of an
eye.

Great write JP, it is amazing how longer we can all potentially live now. Thanks for reminding us of how amazing we are as humans and how lucky we are to be existing in this lifetimeĀ

Thank you Gwen,
so true. It’s sad I think how so many take what we have today for granted.
Thank you for reading.

Being Me

I often think of these things when visiting bronze and Iron age places. And also castles and things. I always think of the people who lived there. How many children did they have? Any pets? Who did they love? What did they fear most? What God did they believe in? Life was sooo hard for them. This poem of yours has great meaning. Halloween is all about celebrating our ancestors and so this poem is, in my humble opinion, a fantastic Halloween poem x

Thank you BM,
Ā I’m always transfixed by pictures of people of past eras.
like you wondering about their lives and how they lived.
Time is so short for us all wether you live to thirty or one hundred.
blinks or two of the eye. Thank you for reading.
