Brown EnveLopes

I was waiting by the letterbox
For a parcel to my door
Airmail from America
From one I so adore...
Upon the soft brown enveLopes,
She scribed my name and address too
In finest hand, a curly strand
Composed in inky blue
At once I saw projected prose
Beneath the cellotape,
An author's name, of poet fame,
An autograph on crumpled crepe
And other clues of her lay strewn
Upon the surface there,
On bubble-wrap , like rescued Rappe
"Please , HANDLE (me) WITH CARE"
I gently opened enveLopes,
The gift inside to find..
Two books complete, insights repleat..
Her thoughts, her fears, her mind.
Her story of two lovers lost,
Two lovers yet to woo
Reflected moments, mirrored fate
(In chapters one and two!)
And musings dark, another book
reveals her hurts and woes
I envy Lopes courageousness,
Her heart and soul she dares expose
Let passion be her bubble-wrap
My arms, brown envelopes
My nature nurtures, loves and cares
To hold her close, forever, Lopes...
The Spring is passing, Summer waits
Im dreaming of the Fall
When she walks through my garden gate
'tween cottage-fortress walls...
I'm waiting by the letterbox
A visit to my door
Air-travelled from America
The one I so adore...
