Poem -

BURIED TREASURE

With them
I lay my head
With them
I lay my trust
For them
I lay my heart
A silent gentle love

And to me
They offer hope
And for me
They lead the way
And to me
They give a comfort

In all the seconds of all the days

And no vessel yet
Can measure
The depth of light within
Or the purity of soul
That this giftΒ
Of buried treasure brings

For so often we diminishΒ
Too quick we do dismiss
That very powerful connection
The healing
Of the animal kiss
