BUS CHARTS AND DREAMS

Waiting for a train that never comes
Confronting all bad things, I've seen there guns
I could tell you stories, 'bout junkies on the bus
I could build you up, tear it all down
lose your heart or fill it with trust

I've seen the dreams, some nights they all die
Umbrella in the rain, two tickets for a ride

One man rides into town, another rides out
Somewhere someone's filled with hope, another has doubts
A woman is killed, a baby is born
One leader stands decisive, another torn
I never learned nothing from a car that wouldn't start,
Just how to ride the bus and read them bus charts

I've seen the dreams, tonight they die
Umbrella in the rain, two dollars will get you a ride

I may not have my dreams, that million
But I got you next to me, next stop Pavilion
Umbrella in the rain, two dollars gets us home
Dreams may die but where ever they go, there never alone
