BUSK NOT BEG

BUSK NOT BEG

Living on the streets is fraught with danger
However my life was changed by a total stranger
"Busk not beg " he came and said to me
Since then my life was never the same as you will see

I nicked an old guitar from out of a skip
I found the perfect singing spot by a tall ship
The songs from my youth were sung from that day
Busking not begging was the perfect way

Then one day while I was doing my daily singing round
A record producer passed my way he liked my sound
From day to this I'm now a famous folk singer
Busking not begging got me out of a terrible ringer
