How is it that I can command my eyes to roll
Direct a nerve to bend a toe
Why can I fill my lungs with air
But cannot coordinate my lifeless hair
What enables me to fill procreative sphincter with a flow of blood
Or make my ears to wiggle
Channel my phonemes to steer life like God
And host a hearty giggle
I send thoughts across these neuron channels like ships across vast seas
And yet cannot break the barriers of the epidermĀ
Unless I involuntary sneeze
What could be so hard as openning my skin up from within
And pumping out a vermillion stigmata flow
Or freeing the electrical charge in my veinsĀ
To emit an aura glow
Clearly I'm not the boss of this portable
It's not my creation though a vehicle I driveĀ
I can't switch off its engine just by a the thoughtable
Someone else decides when I die or surviveĀ

Hi Al,
Even though I'm atheist myself...this is a very clever poem and it certainly makes me think. It also rhymes and flows really well.
