By The End Of It All

By the end of it all
Nothing will be left unbroken
When the world turns to dust
Beneath my feet
I watch myself
From across the room
Falling into a trap I’ve set for myself
I’ve stabbed myself in the back
My own worst enemy
All I see
Are the wounds and scars
I’ve inflicted upon myself
At least
I broke my own heart
Before anyone else could do it for me
