By the light of the misfy moon 🌚

By the light of the misfy moon 🌚

I heard an eerie screech by the light of the misty moon

I searched the wilderness of woods I could not find it, though I recognised that tune

And in the secrecy of the silence, I myself started to croon

In my solitude I was feeling a strange sense of spookiness, all too soon

So I sang out aloud to the bountiful birds on the wing

And they joined in my chorus, it was such a magnificent thing

My spirits were lifted up with a zest and a zing

Haha I honestly felt at home in those wild woods, with all of Mother nature and utterly akin

Then from out of the misty blue, wide spread, white wings swooped right in front of me

Awww my goodness this singular Barn Owl was so beautiful, and such a joy to see

As she duck-dived and scooped a tiny vole within her sharpened talons, so majestically

I was truly blessed to witness this clandestine creature, in her wonderful world of contentment in her natural habitat, and she seemed so carefree
